In fact, infected brains that have been sitting in formaldehyde for decades can still transmit spongiform disease. Cooking your burger 'til it's well done won't destroy the prions! That's legitimately interesting to to know in my sad gently caress opinion. Source: http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/basics/prions/

I love sammiches. My favourite variation of the sandwich with too much deli meat has got to be the Montreal-style.

Sandwiches are probably my favorite type of food. There's just such a variety and yeah, many different things can be considered sandwiches but I really don't want to start that derail. I like the standard sandwich. Bread filled with... stuff. There is this excellent Italian deli near me that has pretty good muffalettas. I haven't had one in years. I should get one.

Subway reubens are dogshit but the hot pastrami melt is pretty good. I don’t think it’s available in many stores though.

Also the pickle is absolutely central to the proper balance and flavor of a hamburger sandwich and indeed sandwiches in general

If you're looking for a good cheesesteak in the Philly area don some bulletproof armor and venture into Camden for a steak from Donkeys. It's on a Kaiser roll which puts some people off but it's loving incredible, top tier poo poo. Within Philly proper, Steve's Prince of Steaks is god tier. By George in Reading Terminal Market is also excellent.

One of my favorite sandwiches is a hot crab sandwich. It's just sourdough bread, a bunch of crab meat and couple of slices of avocado heated up. It tastes great.
