I'm pretty sure it's impossible to leave Costco without spending at least $100. When every single thing you pick up is about $12~15 and there is so much stuff you *have* to grab... well.. Which reminds me, my big container of cashews is almost empty, and I'm out of almonds... drat it.. I'm going to have to go to Costco this week.

Shed drive by around 4 every weekend in a beat to poo poo older Chrysler, selling tamales. 2 each or 12 for 10. My wife would get so pissed, cause id be in the garage, buy a dozen, and bring her like 3 if I didn't finish them all. Edit: also, as a dude from TX who lived in CA, Cali kills it on the tacos and burritos. But texmex enchiladas are better, and Chicos has the best goddamn rolled/fried tacos.

Applebees Appetizer posted:Googled this because I wanted to read the story Late into this... So first off, throw away the LMP1H fuel and energy use restrictions. So go from 500 to 720hp on the gas engine. Next throw away the electricity use restrictions... you don't get much more power because of motor limits, but they said the electric power harvested under braking and the like went up by like 30%. Aerodynamically, add active wings to be able to trim out things on straights but still whack on huge downforce under braking and corners, and add skirts to help the underbody. The rest is just some details like ditching weight and tweaking things. But LMP1 shaped cars are, even within the rules, far more aerodynamically efficient than F-1 cars so if you can get the power/weight ratio close they sort of murder them.

We have a near-rainforest on the eastern edge. Only the west bit is a desert. Also, we have Lockheed, Texas Instruments, and the bit of Lockheed that used to be General Dynamics, not to mention NASA. And oil. We have a bit of that. I... can't really speak about the tacos, because somehow I managed to never get a Taco while in Cali. I am ashamed. BTW the next time you're in St.Pete make sure to stop by Mercado, it's a Taco joint right across from Tropicana Field downtown. The shrimp tacos are the best I've ever had, and they have a chili relleno burrito that is exactly what it says, a burrito with a chili relleno inside of it and it's incredible.

Don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but the 20+ year old JL Audio 10" sub I put in the Crown Vic now has a rattle at low volumes (and probably at high volumes, too - you just can't hear it then). Foam surround looks OK, so I bet the suspension at the bottom of the cone took a dump. I'm hoping it just came unglued and I can fix it. If not, I bought the thing used from a customer when I worked at a stereo shop in the late '90s, and it lived, unused, in my garage pretty much from then until I put it in the Vic, because I didn't have anything with a trunk, and it needs a 1.5 cu. ft. box. I am completely amazed that the foam didn't disintegrate immediately on firing it up. Ah, well. I want to step up to 2 10s or 12s anyway.

At this trailer/camper park I go in for work sometimes, there is a white manual E46 sedan that has been parked in the same spot while multiple tenants have moved through. It has quite the covering of mold and mildew. It's crossed my mind that it would make quite the lemons racer... With all or most of the "graphics" etched into the patina of mildew. Has that been done already? Seems like low hanging fruit now that I think about it.
