I wouldnt of needed a gun, my confidence, terrible training and advice of this forum is all I need to tackle anyone, I've ever been doing a bit of cardio recently so would of been able to run up the casino stairs. Like Mark Wahlberg, I wish I was on all the planes on 9/11, also I would of stopped Hitler the dude was tiny and had no training. kimbo305 posted:Yes, it really sucks that scooter theft is rampant. The problem with ANY kind of retaliation in Britain is that the criminals can turn around and sue (and often win) any kind of action like that. Citizens are implored to not interact in ANY way and to only let the Bobbies deal with it (or likely not).

Not necessarily, reasonable force can be used to protect yourself/someone else/your property/someone else's property, of course their is that term "Reasonable" involved which is somewhat vague. Provided this could be proved and the individual had an honest held belief that they/someone else/property was endanger then the courts wouldn't even bother with it.

Hey guys, Jiu Jitsu question: Is there a name for the submission whereby I grab my opponent's foot and drive my elbow into their shin? (Its a sure tap from the pain) Typically done if someone takes my back but they done have their hooks in quite properly. I was shown this move from one of the FPJJ black belts who came up to visit from Sao Paulo. I managed to use it this morning and was playing around with the timing for catching it but I have no idea the name for it.

Unsure of the name but that seems like a super oval office move for the gym and would lead to aggressive strangulation. Also, you should post in the grappling thread, it sees more traction.

Wristlocks are oval office moves too lol One of our brown belts consistently tries to wristlock me from top half and I normally just jam my knuckles into his collarbone, he was being quite aggressive about it the other day so I accidentally punched him in the throat.

Hang on whats a wrist lock? Where you bend someone's hand in on itself? As an aside https://www.facebook.com/WhiteBeltBrazilianJiuJitsu/videos/2069476576400503/ Very satisfying self defence.

The person I did that move on is my training buddy and we are good friends and that mf'r is always trying to wristlock me (unsuccessfully) so I pulled this one when he took my back but honestly looking back on it I dont think Ill do it again. Mainly because it doesn't focus on the core fundamentals of getting out of that position. Also I dont even know if its tournament legal (except at black belt) But I will file that one away though.

willie_dee posted:Hang on whats a wrist lock? Where you bend someone's hand in on itself? Essentially, yes. They're available from almost all arm lock positions as well as when people grab onto your collar or frame against you in lovely ways. In general they're frowned upon in the gym because the line between pain and a broken wrist is reallllllly thin.

Dudes try to wrist lock me all the loving time. The only time that ever gets me is if they're basically en-route to some other submission anyway. The last one I remember for sure was in spiderweb, a guy wrist locked my far arm. My wrist hurt for three days after that. I should start doing dirty poo poo to people when they try to wrist lock me. I have one training partner who is stupidly obsessed with them.

I’ve been tapped by wrist locks a single digit amount of times in 10 years of No-gi. And have probably tapped people less 20 times... most people just learn to keep their wrists straight. Do you drive your elbow into their shin bone or like the inside of their calf? Because that can get taps too.
