Unless I'm mistaken the US has undergone the destruction of the vast majority of its chemical weapons stockpiles except what it needs to verify that other countries are using them (eg, the same way that smallpox samples are guarded) edit: apparently not though what we possess is supposed to be destroyed by 2021.
