Poison dart frogs require formic acid to create their poison. They normally get formic acid by eating ants. Since poison dart frogs in captivity mostly eat crickets, they're safe to hold.

That is not in captivity, however. That said, the poison produced by this species (the granulated poison frog) is only dangerous if ingested. Coyote Peterson did not proceed to lick the frog, and therefore did not die.

For a lot of dogs, the constant desperate need to play and occupy themselves that collies display might be a thing to worry about and a sign that the dog is understimulated. For collies, it's their default state. If I see one out on a walk, I'm always prepared for it to want to play with me because that's how they are.
