Posting my WIPs Been trying out new recipes for my IW armor. Trying to simplify while getting more depth to my metals. Each one of these is different. I stopped after oils so there are no highlights at this stage. Going to do a few more I think, but I like the 2nd left and far right the most.

Mountainfire Company is just my name for my force - a group of Fists cut off on the outskirts of Ultramar, pursuing some World Eaters with an Ultramarines force when the Ruinstorm hits. They're essentially becalmed on the edge of the storm, and decide that there is only one option left - gather all forces, and make for Terra at all costs, but with the caveat of helping any imperial forces who need help en route. The tacticals are actually vets in my list - BS5 rending bolters hooooboy

Is there a "go to" guide any of you use for magnetizing the hands/weapons? I'm looking for stuff like: go buy these specific magnets, use this size drill, etc.

So, scuttlebutt is that Forge World are in serious financial trouble. Hot on the heels of all etched brass and the entire paint line being dropped, tons of stuff for both 40k and 30k is made to order or has a 10 day lead time. Today they've discontinued some fairly new 30k models and dropped the entire Elysian line. Anyone heard anything?

If only there were simple ways to combat recasting. Perhaps actually QA what they ship so the recasters aren't better quality. Lower the prices. I'm fine paying a premium over GW prime stuff but some of the FW prices are just insulting. Change the insanely retarded shipping policy where you pay 15% of your order to get non-tracked week long shipping. Actually have some kind of plan or strategy for releases rather than the random scattershot approach. Don't just tease poo poo like the atomantic pavaise at open days for THREE YEARS and not release it. Don't sculpt the entire range of Cataphractii shoulder pads and then go "oh yeah we're not actually releasing them because  " Goddamn 30k has been horrendously mismanaged for the past two years. It's extremely frustrating that they seem to be shutting up shop instead of taking any feedback on board. If every other resin casting operation in wargaming including Chinese counterfeiters has better QA than you, it's hard to blame customers for not buying legit. EDIT: Someone in this thread has a legit Warlord that had entirely hollow legs, words just fail me.Goddamn if people aren't buying your poo poo and are going for recasters maybe have a moment of self reflection about why because the answer isn't that everyone is a cheapskate. I buy a fair number of recasts, in part becuase gently caress FW for the hollow warlord and that ZM board, in part because FW have managed to break the molds on poo poo I want (like the caestus), and in part because I'll get my order for gently caress all shipping cost, tracked, maybe a week or two later than the FW order, with the same level of QA, and with roughly equal post-sales service. I've needed to ask for a missing part once, and it was pretty effortless and it got thrown into my next order. The price has almost nothing to do with it.
