I haven't really kept up on the Brexit madness but I learned something new about Britain recently. I was watching a british TV show "Kavanagh QC" on "BritBox" and it featured a court martial. At the court martial they did a thing with swords, the accused was marched in by an escort of dudes with swords, then he put his sword on the table and they went ahead and did the court martial. I thought "what's up with the swords?" so I google searched it and found out that back in the 2000s, this sword display was abolished because it was found demeaning to officers being court-martialed under the Human Rights Act, and there was discussion about the European courts. I remember hearing that they were going to get rid of that when Britain left the EU, and obviously the human rights of britons will no longer be protected by EU courts, and I recall people mentioning that issues like "blue passports" and hanging were very significant considerations for the "leave" voter, so I wanted to ask, has anyone heard mention of the Tories bringing back the court martial sword ritual after the Brexit?
