I respect our computer touchers. They put up with jackasses like me who put in tickets about SPC charts not displaying properly. They run off Java and my version was outdated.

A reminder that the rape clause was a compromise after it was previously "2 kids, full stop" now it's "2 kids unless you suffer a horrific trauma, in which case you can still eat poo poo unless we get to invade your privacy again"

Managers are not infallible. In fact, its quite the opposite since their job relies entirely on the feedback from others. If they make bad decisions poo poo always rolls down hill so of course people are going to argue if they think the manager is going to do something that could make their job worse or even end up with the loss of their job.

If you make suggestions that are not implemented it's on the manager if you make suggestions that are implemented it's on the manager if you act on your suggestions without manager approval it's on you The first two preclude the poo poo from rolling on down. It also involves a spine but without one you'll never have job satisfaction.

According to the Games threads it's currently in one of its good phases again now. I actually reinstalled it a few weeks ago, but couldn't really get into it. I have to say, though, that from the few matches I played, it seemed to be one of the few games where a lot of people are on voice while at the same time not being annoying. Also, able to calibrate their mic input unlike those idiot kiddies in Euro CS:GO.

I’m playing it now yeah, it’s good. A bit slow (as in, each move->fire sequence involves a couple of animations) but I understand it’s battletech and the mechs are supposed to feel a bit slow and plodding.

I loving love Estonia. Don't anybody dare call them Eastern European. Also there was a torrent thread of old Soviet commercials here in like...2006? Maybe? This was one of my favorite commercials of the bunch. Edit: IIRC this was one of those commercials that was made because Western TV stations were available by antenna in some of the Eastern Bloc, where local stations without the need for commercials in the capitalistic sense were trying to counter the popularity of Western culture.
