Dave Grool posted:You need to let the school know that this is happening, if he's making you too uncomfortable to attend class because of sexual remarks that is super not okay. If he's making you feel that way for sure you're not the only one. I put it in my survey of the class and let the dean know, and I'm re-taking the class with a professor I am comfortable with next semester. I appreciate the suggestion, we'll see what happens (though I doubt anything, apparently he's been there like 30+ years and multiple people have complained). That's also thankfully the only class I'd ever need to interact with him in but jeez. Private college politics I guess. e: Also I didn't drop the class sooner because I needed the hours to be considered full time. To not have that happen again I'm taking a few extra hours of gen eds so if I need to drop anything in the future I won't have the same issue.

I had a huge argument with some of the people who live in my block of flats and I will probably have to get the building manager involved. No matter how many times I (and other people) tell them, some of the tenants insist on keeping the goddamn fire doors separating the building from the garage WIDE OPEN. "But it improves air circulation!" they would say. You know what else it improves? THE CHANCES OF A FIRE SPREADING FROM THE GARAGE TO THE REST OF THE BUILDING. "But it's hooooooot in this building!" OPEN A loving WINDOW OR USE AIR CONDITIONING. It's not even like they LEAVE the fire doors open, because those doors shut on their own and don't stay open... Unless someone takes a brick or a big rock and uses it as a doorstop to keep the door from closing. And these are the same people who despite building rules saying you have to put out your trashcan the evening of the day before the garbage men come and take it back in after collection the following day, leave their trash can out for days on end. Jesus Christ, some people

One of my coworkers said some pretty terrible poo poo to me today and I haven't had a chance to vent with anyone because I've been stuck with her all day. And then at the end of the day I had a mousetrap snap on my finger that's deeply scarred from a monkey bite. SulfurMonoxideCute has a new favorite as of 20:42 on Apr 22, 2018 |

I tried to call my mother a few nights ago to ask her for reassurance on an emotional matter and she mocked me on speakerphone with my stepfather and grandmother. I tried calling her several times the last few days to hash things out but she was always busy with buying a literal horse farm to fulfill some childhood dream. Tonight she finally answered, asking me to go to my grandmother's house after my shift to move furniture. I told her to gently caress off. Aesop-- I don't think anyone would know what they're doing in your situation. Stay away from the obvious self-destruction habits and take it as it comes.

Fortunately, it was not broken, and if it is a fracture it is very minor. Do have a fist sized bruise rainbow bruise and was hardly able to walk for two days lol. Still limping but at least I can actually go outside.

I'm currently sitting in the office at 5:18pm on a Friday waiting for a meeting from 5:30-6:30. I have to do this when I would normally have left at 4 since it's so beautiful out, because I now live in Germany and the team I'm meeting with are mostly US based. Oh and also, whenever I do get out today is the start of a 4 day weekend for me.

When I got a tiny fracture in one of my toes, it was right where the tendon attaches so every time I would move it it pulled on the fracture and gently caress did it ever hurt. Taping it to the toe beside it to keep it still really helped and the pain pretty much stopped.

I heard two songs today that make me weep uncontrollably and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. There’s no memory tied to either of them. I guess just the chords and notes strike a ...chord.. with me? It really sucks to try to hide loving tears that come when some song comes on. It’s only these 2 song: Boys of Summer by Don Henley And Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd But ESPECIALLY Boys of Summer It just sucks cause I hate crying and I feel like emotional pain hearing them and bleh. E: I am dumb and started playing Bous of Summer and started crying. I hate my brain. Thin Privilege has a new favorite as of 02:02 on Apr 30, 2018 |

This entire week has been lovely, since by sheer coincidence we moved from our apartment to our first home (which is stressful enough), but also had to help my dad clean out our old family home before it sold*. We're currently in the "oh poo poo, we need to address change / zip code change ~this~, which we forgot to do before because our brain cells were spent on the move" phase. Everything physical is in place, but it's amazing how much digital stuff you have on your phone/computers that say you live in X, or your billing zip code is Y, etc. poo poo, I still have to correct some auto fills that still think I'm living in the aforementioned family house. * A case of "not my problem but I care about the person whose problem it is", but it seems my Dad and the potential new owners of the house are being shitheads to each other. Final inspection was yesterday, and the new owners are squawking about the most pointless things, asking to have the price dropped. In turn, my dad is being kinda a dink about it, and I'm kinda worried it'll sour the deal.

Warning: Picture of legs. A few weeks ago I finally caved/cracked my eggshell and agreed with myself that I needed to make some changes. This morning, I attempted the first of those changes as a kind of self-test, and cut myself shaving pretty bad. Still bleeding a few hours later - that's what I get for using my dull face DE blade on my legs. Also, could be from over-caffeination or dehydration, but my hands pruned up like a motherfucker.

I have the day off today, but I spent the last three hours bouncing back and forth between Cigna and the Health Insurance Marketplace trying to figure out why my health insurance policy was cancelled a month ago without notice. I was so ready to accept the blame but it turns out Cigna just hosed up and cancelled my health insurance for no reason. Reinstated now but my morning is gone

I bit the inside of my cheek, so I've got a day or two of it hurting because it's a swollen open wound, followed by a few days where it hurts because it's a swollen canker sore... and those few days will be filled with re-biting it because it's swollen. (I couldn't decide if this is a FWP or simply a thing to whine about)
