Thank you all for the kind words! This is the best thread to help make people feel better about themselves! SAS - Boris is absolutely gorgeous! and that is an amazing compilation of pictures you have! I wanna pet that cat. Since this thread is full of people who love cats, here are my two girls, Callie and Ava! (Note, I also have a million pictures of them cuddling which I need to share with the thread for cuteness factor)

I understand that reference! I forget the guy's name, but a famous photographer back in the '60s did a self-portrait with that pose and expression. Also yay fellow Nikon shooter! Edit: Also, it just occurred to me that I almost never use the side trigger on mine, I guess because, from my background as a photojournalist, I rarely go out planning to shoot verticals and just twist my wrist if I do see a nice vertical composition. I just have the vertical grip for the extra battery and because that's what I'm used to from the newspaper cameras. Also also: how old is that strap?
