Sounds like they used voice software for Asirpa's grandmother instead of you know..hiring an ainu speaker. Hope this doesn't become a pattern.

Her voice actress is veteran actress Miyuki Ichijou. I doubt they fed it through a computer. They have several Ainu advisors, so using a non-native speaker is mostly for logistic reasons. The anime is pretty good (the horrifyingly bad CG aside), and it's cool to see characters like snake-faced sergeant appear much, much earlier in the series than I remembered.

Yeah I completely forgot that it's Ogata (assuming they didn't change that) who gets loving trounced and hospitalized pretty much immediately. Very satisfying.

I saw this post, was feeling pretty good about myself, and then five minutes later I saw a post somewhere else pointing out a stupid translation mistake I made in the same chapter. Maybe in another 150 chapters I'll stop making mistakes! Or 1,500 chapters! Also, there's no chapter this week. Noda is off doing research or interviews or something. Hopefully his research uncovered a new kind of animal/job you don't have to wear a shirt to do!

Mistakes happen - I go back and read chapters I've proofread and see mistakes and just ... cringe. Happens to everyone, your work is top-notch and we all love it!

Lol yeah at this point my editing & qc stuff for poo poo I work on is motivated as much by the desire to avoid UM ACTUALLY,,,, comments on chapters as it is to have a quality error-free product up the first time And even then I fail miserably all too often

Thanks, that makes me feel better knowing that it's not just me! Yeah, I know what you mean. "Um, actually..." comments are the bane of my life. Luckily I don't get them much, especially not on Golden Kamuy. The fandom for Golden Kamuy seems pretty chill, even when they're making corrections they're usually really nice about it. I miss batoto because the GK community there was great, several interesting posters that gave a lot of neat details on stuff like the military hardware at the time or historical details.
