In my experience, it's hard to find furries that aren't somewhere on the LBGT spectrum, and an increasing visible amount of them are trans. (turns out 'my true self is a wolf with tits' can be something of a gateway to 'Turns out I actually identify as a woman')

In the old internet days, the furries were a target of ridicule because their sexual fetish was absurd. These days it is tame in comparison to the poo poo that people loudly and vocally get off to. Simultaneously, as we've gotten older, we've realised that who really gives a gently caress what people get off to so long as the people they're doing it with are consensual. Trans people are fine Furries are fine ACAB
