Chill out and enjoy the world while doing side quests that sound interesting. Also, play around with different weapon types - they all feel and play very differently and change up the way battles feel. Personally I ended up enjoying straight swords the most but heavy blunt and curved swords are also really good.

GoW really does a horrible job of explaining how things work. I found out by accident that you can press L3+R3 again to cancel Spartan Rage if you no longer need it. You don't have to run down the meter all the time. Merely activating (not using) one of the magic doors will replenish your health. On the other hand, I still can't get some of the moves to work, no matter how hard I try. "Press R2 on the second to last combo to unleash a final heavy strike" - what? No idea how the timing works. Good thing you don't need all skills to succeed. What do some of the bonuses to your weapons do? After you meet World Serpent for the first time and it spits out your axe, the hint "Eitr imbued" flashes up briefly. As do several Drwarven enchantments after Brok and Sindri handle it in cutscenes. What do those do, just randomly improve stats? Feels unintuitive and/or useless.

There are black borders on my TV when I play GoW. I checked the settings but it seems like I can't stretch the screen or whatever? Also throwing and recalling your axe is cool as gently caress. Your axe even deals damage if it hits someone when it's flying back to you.

I'm currently playing nier after finishing and not being that impressed with gow and even with that in mind the combat in nier is subjectively Not As Good. It's that bland that I might just stick it on Easy and turn on the auto chips just to enjoy the story instead. Also there are tons of open spaces that are just walled off invisibly instead of at least there being a token piece of scenery in the way to stop you going there, feels kind of lovely and confusing when the map is already kind of poo poo at showing you where there's an actual path to somewhere. Also it turns out "self destruct" is Japanese for "blow your clothes off and run around with your rear end out until you teleport somewhere to make the clothes come back". As boring as Dad of War Kratos was I didn't have to backtrack anywhere in a rush to get his manskirt back on before my wife came into the room to witness my shame at any point.

@shut up blegum 1. The combo is R1 R1 R2 R1 R2. 2. Mark of the dwarfs gives you +1 runic power, from what i remember, you can find them in the resources tab from the menu. 3. If it's the same black borders I had, go to the ps4 settings > video/display settings > recalibrate your screen. I'm a new ps4 owner, but this is the first game i saw actually use this. My girlfriend just started playing Beyond Two Souls and its not bad for a story game but am I correct in assuming it's a Telltale style 'make these choices, but very few of them change anything just enjoy the ride' style game? She's up to the Navajo bit but it all seems very on rails in term of the direction it goes.

I just got my PS4 (GoW Pro) today and the first thing I did was download Rez Infinite and play the first level. I'm so happy right now edit: this is the 3rd system I've owned Rez on (DC, 360, PS4)

A cooch bomb would be a lovely way to try to take someone out anyway. The human body is mostly water so it’s real good at dispersing explosions. There was a guy that tried to assassinate someone with a bomb hidden up his rear end, and it just left the target surprised, confused, and in need of a shower.
