Ask me about how my football team's success determines my self worth, and how I wish I lived in New Orleans.
Saints released Fleener. lol that sure was a great signing.

Am I reading this right in that he has a $8m dead cap hit??? :stare:

Depends on (a) if he's designated a post-June 1 cut (drops it to $5 million this year) and (b) if he gets another contract (he has offset language), but yeah, $8 million dead money if he's straight cut pre-June 1.

You don't yank on the Spine of God

I was curious as to what the gently caress was wrong with him (aside from being a RB) since no one had signed him yet.

He's going to be 27, ran for 1K last year on 4.0 a carry, and can catch the ball out of the backfield a bit. What gives?

Strong stroll for a mangy stray
He's a bit slow maybe? But he's a great zone runner and very good post-contact. I think someone posted that he somehow had the highest PFF grade of all RBs last season which was pretty weird but he's absolutely serviceable.

The only way I can explain him being signed so late is that he was holding out for a richer contract

Hey, they tried to get Jimmy back. So it's Ben Watson, Josh Hill, and a bunch of UDFA TEs on the roster. One dude is 6' 10" (Nate Wozniak).

I worried about CAP. He had a great preseason but couldn’t make the active roster most weeks, let alone get carries. He might win the job over Anderson still, but at the very least we will have a competition for what should be a 120-150 carry role. It would have been silly too annoint a guy as the #2 when he couldn’t even see the field the year before.

Man, Carolina Huddle is an awful message board. I reminds me of every other message board where people will ignore an existing thread so they can make their own in hopes of having the “honor” of being the OP in a 50 reply thread. So many duplicate threads with clickbait titles and fan theories being passed off as legit rumors.

Luckily there is like a weirdly inordinate amount of Panthers fans here.
