I'm exhausted today and i woke up from a nap to watch the episode live so I'm not surprised I completely whiffed on it being an elegy for Amy but I am embarrassed a little bit  the episode makes a hell of a lot more sense in that context

I got distracted by him talking about the branches because in the first episode I remembered him waking up and talking about trees being his only memory. I wonder if it's still not relevant. Pointless speculation stuff I noticed in the board room scene: the place was named the "Davidoff Capital" and there was a subtle D3 sign on the door. https://imgur.com/a/2VCILfT Also somewhere the camera lingers on a bank sign that says "tonal ban" across from the building.

The one where he is most successful, he's a huge rear end in a top hat, Amy is miserable and he is abusive towards her. The one where she lives to a ripe old age alongside him, she's basically trapped with him and might as well have no life of her own. Given the almost casual "You kill the Shadow King a week from now" reveal from earlier in the season, I'm picking Amy's death/transmogrification was the one that triggered David to just unleash everything and destroy Shadow King, which we have (and now David too) been told will only unleash some greater horror to follow.

I really liked this episode, but i am both impressed and a little fearful that the show seemingly doesn't care about the pace of their storytelling. I would hate for this show not to get a third season and half the storylines just being left dangling.

yeah this was a good episode and I would almost say its the least weird of all of them. Like the world portrayed in all the other davids' worlds is mostly normal besides david himself. I thought that was somewhat interesting.

there was only a quick flash of a video to confirm it, but trillionaire David was fully taken over by Fahrouk. I don't know where the happy family David fit in with the other timelines, but I imagine its inclusion was to show that what David's mind was desperately searching for was not purely happiness for himself

I loved the episode. At first I thought it was the remnants of Amy in Lenny, emphasizing how much of her life was focused on David. A "multiverse exploration" concept is a bit less interesting to me but Dan Stevens did a superb job. Show remains excellent, hyped for more. What's weird is that as dark as it is, it's still a more enjoyable watch lately than Agents of Shield, which has an overwhelming aura of depressing inevitability to it despite the fact that you know they have to resolve that condition in a few episodes.

I don't really give a poo poo about the future Sydney poo poo and the plot of the show in general other than as a vehicle for cool cinematography, music and fun performances, so I thought this was maybe the best episode of Legion yet. The Kubrick references were loving incredible - more like this pls.

Also my SO made a really good observation that while Syd's episode was a continuous loop on her life, this one was "gonna try everything but": now when you add the context of suffering and trauma that was discussed earlier on, the contrast works ridiculously well, holy poo poo
