The funniest part about that scene is that McTiernan hates it. It was shot by 2nd unit and directed by one of the regular A-Team action directors. I remember watching it as a kid and wondering why it looked so much like an A-Team fight scene, down to the camera angles (like the low angle tilt up of the stuntmen flying overhead from an explosion). I highly recommend listening to McTiernan's commentary on the Predator and Die Hard discs. Great breakdown of the filmmaking process, from scene geography to tone.
