My mother always put beans in chili when I was growing up so that's how I eat chili.  She's from Amarillo so it might be that Midwestern influence. Well I wasn't rushing to sign up to be a volunteer since my priorities are elsewhere but it was a friendly and interesting chat, as these things are. There are Beto signs around the neighborhood, including the building next door, so I mentioned how unusual this is for a Democrat running for Senate in Texas and in this neighborhood in particular, which is fairly conservative.

I saw your original post and watched the video, then checked DMN and got this article, and for a long while I thought these were two different stories about two different Richardson mayors. e: which I guess explains why the mayoral terms cited in the video didn't make any sense lol
