I can't really laugh at stuff like that anymore because of how many ardent communists, (most of whom were Stalinists condemned on false charges), were fed into a NKVD meat grinder accused of Trotskyism. Is that from the 1930s-40s? It's extremely reminiscent of Great Purge-era propaganda.

Yeah, it kind of seems like Trotsky wasn't so bad, since he played a pretty crucial role in organizing the Red Army. But Trotskyists are so often complete garbage, so it's kind of easy to dismiss him and his theories. You can make fun of stalinists for supporting weird third world dictators, but at least they do it in clear opposition to western capitalism. Trotskyists seems like anti-capitalists, but they support the foreign policy of their country, so gently caress em.
