He plays for the dreamers that forgot how to dream, and the lovers that forgot how to love.
Deadfall Adventures has been pretty fun so far, but now near the end of the game the Mayan Tombs level feels interminable. There are way more enemies than the other levels and due to the gimmick some of the fights are much harder due to getting swarmed, and there are a million puzzles throughout the level. They are amusing puzzles but they could have done with being spread a bit more evenly over the last few levels.

The fight with a seemingly neverending horde of lovely-rear end enemies on the bridge at the end of Hellbade: Senua's Sacrifice. I went through the entire game without dying once until now, but this poo poo sucks. I can fight for 10 minutes and then whoops, one of the giant strong enemies spawns just off-screen behind me and fucks me up with a giant axe.

Plus the fast dual-wielding axe guys who enter a second phase at half hp and force you to use focus to kill them (and kick you out of focus if you were already in it when they enter that phase of course, regardless of how much focus time you actually had left.) gently caress right off with making me fight more than one of those at once, plus grunts.

If you stay beyond the halfway point of the bridge, there are fewer enemies. If you stay near the start of the area you just get brutally punished for your cowardice

I beat the game twice and was sure the endless Viking horde on the bridge was patched to be smaller the second time. That must have been the real reason.

Decided to re-install Borderlands the Pre-Sequel the other day and had it uninstalled again a few hours later, why? Because I'd forgotten the reason why I'd abandoned the game and that was upon hitting Level 50 as Athena and unlocking Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode and hitting the very first boss Deadlift.

It sure is fun to fight a boss who shits shock damage in every direction and moon jumps around the arena making him really hard to even hit consistently, Enemy scaling is off the charts in Borderlands as a whole and this guy is the very first boss.
UVHM is bad in Borderlands 2, and Pre-Sequel is a much worse game so it is, not surprisingly, much worse.

Dragon Ball FighterZ has a 'pretty good but not great' story mode, with three different stories that are primarily differentiated by who gets the power to be the protagonist.

The first two stories (Goku and the Z-Warriors, and then Freiza and his minions with Cell) generally have a pretty good offering of playable characters that expands gradually over the story, which is good for this kind of story mode since it's meant to train you in how to use these characters. You get given a good selection of fighters to use, enough that you probably should learn several of them--and you probably don't have your favorites right away--but there's enough flexibility in the roster that if you find certain characters aren't for you, you don't have to use them. And since you're generally fighting a lot of the same enemies, that's also where a lot of the variety comes from; you're bored of fighting with your usual A-team, switch out for some of those second-stringers you aren't so comfortable with.

But the third story sticks you with the same two characters for the first massive chunk of it. Not even three characters, you don't even have a full team, you just have these two. So if you don't like using one of them, tough luck, but also that entire stretch is dull as hell because there's no mixing it up; the game gives you the same enemies as always, and you can't change up your lineup outside of swapping the characters around.

Also, it's really poo poo that the best the fighting game genre's got for special move inputs is quarter-circles, because they're by far the most reliable and sensible anybody's come up with and yet I still can't reliably input them.

Warframe has a bunch of different kinds of missions and some of them can be really, really bad. The ones I'm going to complain about are Hijack, Interception, Defection, and Excavaton.

Hijack missions are where you blitz to this big vehicle and you escort it to the end. You escort it by being near it while it drains your shields to move. This sucks because people have to take turns being the guy that stands on the thing and avoids getting shot until their shields deplete. Things might get spiced up if you or one of the other players has a hit-squad called in by an enemy faction, but other than that, it's a real slow-paced type of mission.

Interceptions are just missions where you keep enemies from getting on the four points. They're huge wastes of time if you have one or more people with you, because most of the time enemies don't spawn much, and there are rarely moments where enemies will spawn from all sides, going for all of the points at once. I'd be surprised if anyone could fail these missions.

Defection = Escort quest, don't bother unless you need to in order to proceed on the planet you're on

Excavation missions are a mixed bag. You go to a point in a widely-open area and defend a drill while it mines resources or relics. The drill, however, can run out of power, and to refill that, you kill nearby enemies that carry power cells for the drill. Sometimes these enemies don't spawn, at all, meaning you're defending a dead drill with minutes of it not being able to complete its objective, and sometimes there's more of these enemies than you could ever ask for. If there were a constant spawn rate for these guys, it'd be so much better.

Christ, I have awful memories of a time where no power cell carriers spawned for a good 10 minutes, possibly longer. It just threw occasional regular enemies at us, and barely any of them until the game finally decided we'd done enough sitting on our asses as let us actually do the mission.

There is a constant spawn rate, but it only spawns up to a certain number of guys. If you aren't getting any enemies there is almost certainly a roomful of enemies somewhere just waiting around.

I played it and did it only for like. Completion. I was blacked out mentally through the game cause I was told by goons “this game is so good and scary if you like Silent Hill you’ll love this one!!!” But that was not the case.

-it was not scary
-it was supposed to be focused about kids and making you sad for that, and I’m not a childfree lunatic but a kid getting hurt doesn’t make me freak out like :qq: tugging at my heartstrings, so I was super detached from the plot
-early on the woman in the shower. So unnecessary and grossed me the gently caress out, and I think I may have complained about it already. No women sleep in a teeny tank top and teeny underwear and then take a shower when they wake up. This created more detachment for me from the game.
-probably some other crap I can’t remember

Also I really didn’t like the main characters physical characteristics; this makes me sound like an rear end in a top hat, but he had this weak rear end face and jaw... I am nitpicking again

and also I was watching tv through many or most of the time I was playing that game so.

I don't know what goon told you any of that but "heavy rain is like silent hill" is straight up the most bizarre comparison I've heard about a game, and I've seen Dark Souls compared to Crash Bandicoot.

If you play David Cage games the best you're gonna get is a decent premise, which will unfortunately be ruined by terrible story, pacing, characters, dialogue, plot holes, etc etc.

I impulse-bought X-Morph: Defense today thanks to randomly getting a 66% off coupon for it, and goddamn it the game does some stuff so well. You're given all the time in the world between waves to adjust your towers without penalty, you're given clear guides where enemies will path, restarting a wave is painless, resource management is rather simple, and the game gives you plenty of space for tower placement.

But holy poo poo the difficulty is completely unfun. The amount of enemies per wave can be obscene, and you'll always wind up disappointed/annoyed/frustrated to discover that your towers don't quite deal enough damage to stop even the initial wave, or even soften them up to spot-removal levels. No upgrading their damage, either. The final wave will always just be a huge wave of enemies from every spawn point, that just exacerbates the horribly frenetic pace of things.

I'll prolly just slam it into the lowest difficulty to finish it off, because like I said, the game does a lot that's so good. But it's a shooter and a tower defense game, where the towers aren't strong enough and your shooting only barely keeps up.

This combined with the day/night cycle progressing a bit faster than I would like. My computer died and I just never got back to the game, largely for these reasons.
