You could probably do 3 if you were driven.

I don't know why the Sirensong Sea Aiming chest just has vastly superior dye layers compared to the Fending/Maiming poo poo it's based off of, but I'm glad it does.

So, for the sake of a dumb joke, i've been leveling a second character. Been running through the MSQ and am at ca. the level 25 quests, just after Toto-Rak. So i'm sent into eastern Thanalan to talk to Hihibaru to find out more info about the Ascians. He gives me some smoke signal i'm supposed to light and see what happens. I go there, light a signal, some mobs comes out and i slay him. As it goes. Then, a level 60 Black Mage rolls up to the same rock i'm standing on, pops the same item i did, and slays the same quest mob. What the........

The 2.X MSQ is tedious, but you can absolutely blaze through it in a couple of days if you skip through every cutscene and unsync the dungeons/trials.

Granted, I'm on Coeurl NA and using every source of bonus exp at all times. And I've done every single quest I've found as the writing is fun enough to read. I also have most of the other classes leveled to 30 minimum. The Road to 60 exp buff is hilarious and amazing.

I file troubles with miscellaneous sidequest prerequisites under "problems for people without pattern recognition skills" (very low sympathy) or "problems for people very new to the game" (a bit more sympathy, but it's not like they're lacking in content to do whether it's new or not). It's not like this patch is the first time new content has been gated behind things like that. The rest of us just shrug, clean out the map of all misc sidequests in advance during I'm-bored moments (gently caress wibbling over ~saving them for exp efficiency for future jobs~ when roulettes are as good as they are), and have it be a non-issue.

I got up early this morning because I had trouble sleeping, and I was going to try to polish off those Namazu prereqs, but I forgot it's a 24-hour maintenance. I logged in 15 minutes before shutdown.  At least we've got several weeks before Pagos opens. I haven't finished my Anemos weapon collection yet.

Sometimes they come up early, unless it's a housing patch, in which case they'll keep it on schedule for fairiness. I wouldn't bet on it, but I get up an hour before maintenance is scheduled to end, just in case.
