Coldforge posted:Aren’t you a Cowboys fans? I've made it clear on several occasions that I have nothing but contempt for Jerry Jones and his politics. I'm sure he was among the most vocal pushing for this, and deserves all the scorn and ruin it may bring him. He's worse than many other owners for many reasons. I find it laughable though, that someone would suggest that even Jed York (or any other owner who voted yes or abstained and issued a similar statement) is somehow better because of his statement--he could have voted "no" and instead chose to abstain. It's an attempt to have his cake and eat it too, avoiding angering the other owners and not opposing the action while simultaneously attempting to garner good PR from saying he supports player actions. But if that's what you need to keep rooting for the team, don't let me stop you.

Epic High Five posted:doesn't the NBA have a rule where you have to stand for the anthem Yes buuuuuuuuuuut... As I said in the NBA thread, the NBA is more than willing to allow the players to stand up for causes they believe in, and the NBA itself is also very progressive compared to the other big sports in the US. The Bucks last night released a statement completely bashing the Milwaukee PD and the NBA won't do a thing about it.
