Ironically enough, We Happy Few - a game where you start off working a job where you redact information that makes your government look bad - is currently refused classification in Australia. It's..most likely for the drug use, but I don't think anybody is actually sure on that one yet.

The best place for vita memory cards is basically Amazon at this point, yeah? I don't have a jailbroken system, nor do I trust myself to spring for a jailbroken motherboard. I have replaced a vita battery, and that was nerve wracking enough for me.

Ebay actually isn't terrible for them with the obvious caveat of 'if it's too cheap, it's probably fake'.

If you go back a few pages there's some discussion of dungeon RPGs on vita but for 8 bucks I'd say give it a whirl. It's archaic, class formation is pretty rigid and it has some warts but I thought it was fun enough. Babel is far superior if you have the choice though due to being able to dual class.

Been getting through Demon's Gaze, At Grimdor Castle. Somehow I beat the Mimic on my first try, then most of the other bosses have been easy. Grimdor is annoying, but only because all the monster have a chance to instant kill someone in the first part. Anyone have a good team set up, I'm running Gazer, Samurai, Ranger, Healer, and wizard right now, and it works, but I'm starting to get worried that it won't be soon.

You're going to really notice not having a tank soon enough so get a paladin. Monsters (especially bosses) start to get an unholy amount of attacks and letting packs of monsters swing at your more squishy characters unopposed 10+ times a turn is not going to end in your favor.

I would love another Freedom Wars game too but I just miss the era where every Japanese studio was throwing poo poo at the wall to see if it would stick when it came to hunting action games. What I would give to have Soul Sacrifice Delta on PS4 so people could appreciate it, or another game like Freedom Wars on a grand scale with console comfortable controls.

I liked Freedom wars but never really got into it, maybe it was because of that crafting system or the factory thing where you had to wait for things to be made. I don't really "get" MH games either. But the grappling and targeting parts of the monster and all that was cool

I still miss that period where every Japanese developer saw PlayStation, devoid of Monster Hunter, and went "we need to get in on that" because we saw all these different hunting action games step up and try new things (many of which would go on to be stolen and retooled by MHW like Freedom Wars' grappling hook). Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, Toukiden, Ragnarok Odyssey, Phantasy Star Nova, and Gundam Breaker (just to name some) were all different takes on hunting action and I liked seeing where developers could take the genre. Now everyone's just trying to copy Battle Royale games and everything sucks.

Wizards in Demon Gaze get really good in the late game once they can dualcast Quad Bolt, since that's 8 decent-damage hits that are guaranteed not to miss. Before they can do that, they're kinda underwhelming except against large enemy groups.

You know, as much as people hate on Attack on Titan, I always thought it would work perfectly as a hunting action game. That's what made it so bizarre. Bandai Namco actually used the term "hunting action" in some of the trailers for the original Gundam Breaker and tried to cross-breed elements of some of their other Gundam franchises (i.e. Gundam Battle) with hunting action framing (4-player co-op, big battles, part targeting, grinding for drops to upgrade parts) to try and give the standard Gundam game something more like Monhun to fill the vacuum on Vita. They tried the same thing with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, which also had a big 4-player co-op theme with fighting giant apes to varying levels of success. It's all taking the original Monster Hunter concept and breaking it down and rebuilding it, like how Fortnite's Battle Royale was built from PUBG which was built from DayZ which was built from ARMA 2. I like hunting action and while I've put over 300 hours into Monster Hunter World and love it to death, the genre does need more people stepping in and trying new things with it. I'm not really interested in Dauntless or God Eater 3, but I'm glad people are out there mixing it up. It's why I like that there's so many Soulslikes now (especially with Souls being finished) because I like seeing what The Surge 2 or Code Vein or that weird Battle Royale Souls game with the Carpenter Brut sounding soundtrack could do with it.

Whatever that class is called that hides/healer/mage I wanted to run hunter cause I felt I could have done without samurai but the samurai was too good at clearing trash. If you can save scum for the artifact that lets you see enemy health I bet you could probably drop the hunter. Also if you can find a second divine shield artifact it makes things much easier as you can cycle it on your magic users so your healer can actually heal.
