I immediately began hoping for green the rest of the way when Scott pitted with like 40 to go, because thought for sure he'd win if another yellow came out. Thankfully that didn't happen, and I'm totally fine with Power winning.

I thought Danica did respectably all things considered. Rossi was also a standout in this race, the Hondas seemed to turn it on later.

Holy poo poo was it hot today. Thankfully clouds covered most of the second half of the race, but it was pretty miserable for a while. My girlfriend also almost suffered heat stroke walking away from the track and waiting for a Lyft. Not sure I’d recommend going the ride share route unless you don’t mind paying out the rear end or waiting hours to call for a ride. That said though, holy gently caress yes we attended the 500! Josef had a meh race but I’m alright with Will Power winning. Rossi has a hell of a run too. Kinda disappointed my first 500 didn’t have the crazy amount of passing of the last few years, but guess that’s the new chassis and universal aero kit at play. All in all, thumbs up would do again.

Yeah, this year was less exciting with less passing, but new chassis and aero will do that. Always boring to watch a parade like that. I was just mad that Davison was bunching up the field and hosed up Sato’s race. They should’ve black flagged that dude, he almost took himself and Karam out earlier lifting in a bad place. Too bad for Bourdais losing it as well. I saw Servia run up into the grey on turn one like five times throughout the course of the race and he never lost it, which was cool. Also, I got fuckin MURDERED in fantasy, lol. Still second overall though.

gently caress yeah back in the lead of fantasy. My picks were total crapshoots but I had power and carpenter. Helio, Seabass, and Danica dropped my total gain a bit though. Rest were mostly midfield other than Newgarden.
