Historians (if we don't kill ourselves off in the next century or two) are going to literally have to document the development of the alt-right and it's massive internet background as a part of the propaganda storm that led us to today. Something awful, mostly by virtue of being the source of and kicking out the proprietors of movement originators, is going to be historically relevant even if it's a dead gay forum swept to the dustbin of time. none of this will matter in a few hundred years when we're fighting with each other with sticks and stones over the last sources of potable water while we cling to life at the extreme ends of the globe, but in the meantime we'll be some fascinating little footnote buried in a doctoral thesis in 2125.

If he only hired Republicans, or even tried to seek a balance between parties on his legal team, it would've been illegal. Trump is basically saying HOW DARE YOU FOLLOW THE LAW and that sort of makes sense, doesn't it?
