It's MMO rules, he just just gets reduced to 1. If he doesn't Telekinesis himself. Or the ground.

NowonSA posted:

Maybe he gets slapped with magic restraints he can't take off so he has to rely on his physical skills and general BS gamer skills to get out of there.

Or him running into the limitations of his abilities a bit more. IE the drawback on having too much int compared to vit, or him not being able to pick up books based on concepts which causes him to prepare for a fight the wrong way (the church of masks's divine connection vs someone who abuses the akashic record to achieve the same thing for example.)

The training and power of Jee han has been escalating nicely for the most part at least so I don't mind if it continues because it's getting into the 'ok seriously how can he get even more superwizard?' territory.

I wanted him taken down a peg, but not like this!

Not when he can take a potion for a minor int boost and get insane magic power on top of 99 freaking percent mana reduction, couldn't he just make a giant mana spirit bomb and kill basically anyone with that kind of multiplier in place?!

I'm ready for a Jee-han rescue arc with the minor players getting a chance to shine, but who are we kidding. He's going to pop that mask off and reveal that this whole time that body has been a high-class golem he's been controlling remotely or something.

Gah of course that's what it will be, one of his most overpowered innate skills shows off just how powerful it really is.

That's probably a tough trait to scout out, but it'll be super hilarious if the Church really went after him and wanted to force him to join to obtain his power but literally never could pop a working mask on him no matter what.

Probably gonna see Jee-han inject a lethal magic virus into the Church's divine connection too now that he has direct access via the mask.

The spiky one.
He's busy spamming them all with guild invites and explaining that they can use guild chat as a replacement for mask telepathy without sharing all the embarrassing memories of being rejected by their first crushes. Also the magic of grinding levels in a game system since they all share his immunity to mind control while he wears the mask.

Next week he'll sell the auction guy some god tier crafted items which are worth a lot more than anything they could get by stealing mana.

When he explains how he forgot he was immune to mental effects afterwards his friends will give him the usual look that shows just how tired they are of his bullshit powers.

I could see Jee-Han taking over leadership of the Church of Masks and showing them far more efficient ways to grind towards higher powers. If they have an ultimate goal he can get behind that'd be a solid twist, though his existing Chunbyuu (sp?) membership would be a conflict there.

Well we were right about Gamer's Mind being the cheat to get him out of this. Interesting to see that it only partially nullified a mental effect though in that he's still trapped in imaginary space, and not completely immune to ti.

Opens the door for a powerful enough mental status affecting spell to work on him, albeit probably with a diminished effect. I'm down for someone using super high level domination magic on him and he just starts acting drunk or something.

Sharing the Gamer's Mind ability could certainly be a way to bring down the Masks, that seems pretty solid since just based on what we've seen so far having it renders you comatose at the very least.

What?

I recently reread this as well, since I kinda fell off on all the stuff I was following on webtoons a while back I figured I’d just reread the ones I liked.

The series reads far, far better when binging it over the course of a week or so. The fps in this game pacing in this series gets bogged down whenever action starts but when you go through it all at once you get a much better feel for how stupidly fast of a pace he’s getting stronger at and suddenly all the various “:stare: dude your power is loving bullshit” scenes are a lot more tolerable in context. While reading them as they come out you kinda get used to his schtick and just want things to move forward already but while archive binging it’s way more apparent that the Gamer’s Mind isn’t just for show, it’s literally making him treat these actual life and death situations like a video game and it understandably kind of creeps everyone else out.

Eh, I don't know about that. It kind of hints that her loneliness and disability are defining parts of her identity. Like Jee-Han says, she could probably walk with a magic spell. She needs to believe that all others are lonely and broken, because it justifies her brainwashing in an effort to satisfy her own needs.

I remember them saying they had some kind of body-switching ability, so it could be that he's actually in her body but still needs her glasses for some reason. If they have that ability then I think it's a necessity to have that play a key part, and the glasses have to be a clue related to that in my view.

they could switch bodies, but whenever they did the brother was comatose for the duration. here's the chapter: https://www.webtoons.com/en/fantasy/the-gamer/season-4-ep-19/viewer?title_no=88&episode_no=215
