Do you take a maths class? Do maths? Is it singular and plural? I know the answer to all this is colloquialism is dumb but I am legit curious, and with how frequently I see it in translation does that mean most translation teams are non-NA/non-native speakers? E: I'm American and use the Oxford ok

Basically everywhere an american would use 'math', you would add the s. Maths homework, 'they did the maths', etc.
