If you don't perceive yourself to be part of an immiserated class, but just that you alone are being immiserated - then your perceived solutions turn inward and are depoliticized. Homeless people have some of the highest rates of suicidal ideation, but they're also completely disenfranchised and have no basis for social cohesion.

if our leaders have proven anything over the last 30 years, its that they themselves have no true leaders. the storm of post 9/11 national security legislation was the only real achievement any president in that period can claim. our parties are effective only at empowering corporations. so while people are depressed and desperate enough to do violence, it ends up appearing in mass shootings and not OKC bombings or assassinations

Honestly i think the main reason we haven't had a bunch of political assassinations is just because we haven't had a successful one yet. When someone finally kills one of these people for specific tramsgressions, it's gonna flip a switch where people go 'hey wait, that's an option'
