Also the fact that the symbolism is literally an allusion to a militant police separating a minority from the larger populace

In the original design that is not amalgamated with a national flag, the blue line is surrounded by two identical menacing black bars. There is no distinction or minority, if anything its symbolism is "police vs. everyone else" (read: "blacks")

My block has a white cafe and a black cafe. The white one is run by two closet fascists who festooned the entire place with those blue line flags and wear blue lives matter gear every time I see them. I wonder why black people in the neighborhood felt threatened eating there and had to create a competing cafe literally in the building next to it? 🤔🤔🤔
