How? I don't remember music being a vital element of that show at all.

Yeah you wouldn't think so, but my dad has the DVDs and says there are lots of cuts on them. I googled for verification. Apparently the characters sing bits and pieces of stuff pretty often and it's usually real songs from the era.

Monk was a great show. I remember an episode where the cities garbage men go on strike and the piling up garbage and his uncontrollable ocd makes him lose his mind and he claims the murder victim was killed by Alice Cooper because he was jealous of his chair.

They really dropped the ball on doing a Monk/Psych crossover two parter. But at least they implied Monk was in the Psych finale.

Yeah, I love the show. It managed to find a really good balance between genuine detective thriller stuff, lighthearted comedy, and impactful emotional moments. It kinda got lazy in the later seasons, I think, but the finale is probably one of my favorites of any show ever.

Holy poo poo,is that the show where they have wristblasters and the bad guy is like the joker in a jester outfit? and there's loads of terrible cgi? and they're always jumping into huge terrible cgi tunnels?

I thought i'd imagined that in a fever dream when i was a kid.

You cant say that and not include the bit that it actually *was* Alice Cooper doing a cameo. He was a fan of the show.

I love Monk the show so much. One of my fondest memories of this forum is talking about the finale with people as it aired :)

One of my most favourite episodes is the one where Stottlemeyer spends time with Monk at his house and they battle over the coffee table. It always, always gets me at the end of the episode.

Yeah the series is a full story with a proper opening and conclusion.

I seem to remember it being surprisingly dark in places for a kids show too.
