Getting real mad about something Elon Musk does is weird to me I mean, like, there are 540 billionaires in the US, and how many of them do you think do something with their money other than to reinvest it in lovely rich-person hedge funds and lobby politicians to get even more rich? This guy I'll never meet makes rockets that provide me half an hour of entertainment every couple months and makes cars that look kinda cool, that's good enough for me

Also Elon has more bootlickers than normal because he's painted himself as a friend of the common man, with quirky tweets and a desire to fix up public transportation. The only problem is none of his public transport ideas are really feasible and all of them are so tremendously expensive that he'd bankrupt himself funding any working version of them, and all of his own workers are terribly abused with an inability to form unions, people passing out on the production floor from exhaustion, and removing any caution stripes and repainting equipment because he personally hates the color yellow. But because he talks up his Gilded Age factories as the dawn of a new era of humankind, dumbasses who think they're smart flock to him.
