I lost twenty minutes forgetting the lamp entirely, skipped flare sword and never turned in even my one tablet. Somewhat satisfied with the result, although this party is paper-thin enough that I did a bit more grinding than I really needed, ofc.

I'm doing the Randomizer pledge again! Sorry I can't do more, I wanted to double it this year but unfortunately as I hinted before I did get some slightly unexpected expenses. Here's the details, pretty much the same as last time: $1 per goon up to $20 for every goon that completes a run from now on to the end (must complete a normal run first) using Can Of Worms's Final Fantasy V Advance Randomizer. Make sure to emptyquote this post on a win so I can see it! Oh, and please don't use the FFVFJF site (probably not cool crowning on impossible runs), although if you want to slip a victory into another run's #Up that's probably okay. It's up to you if you want to spoil the Jobs you get or not but I'd recommend it to reduce grinding and magic level confusion. Also, I'll probably wait until next year to actually donate so I can kill two birds with one stone and water that tree. Speaking of, here's last years! What happens if you get all four tablets without turning them in, go all the way to Necrophobe, then back out of the rift and go to the castle for the first time?

The cutscene plays when you leave Moore after fighting Melusine and regaining Lenna, you can only get to the Sealed Castle with the airship that appears as a result.

When you leave Moore he voids the library, when you board the airship he voids everything else, and I do believe it's not until using the first tablet and leaving the sealed temple that he sends his goons after you. If you don't get that scene they just show up.

Ok, so I was right. I still want to know what happens if you kill them all and then go back to trigger the scene though. Probably nothing changes but hey, the game does somehow have a flag for "has gone around the world on Boko," so I wouldn't put anything past it.

I didn't want to decide the run this year, and I may have given RPGLB enough to buy a new car this year, but I felt the need to water the berserker tree a bit before the run starts tomorrow. So I threw in ~$2500 and change to bring it up to a nice even 5k.

I've got two questions: 1. When is THE RUN starting? I didn't see it posted on the official site or gilgabot's twitter. 2. Did Can of Worms ever update his balance patch? I really enjoyed doing runs with it, but I remember it having a few bugs (mainly instant death not working right).

Right now, there's only 540 Berserkers for 578 Riskers, so you can't say for sure whether it does take Risk into account or not. It probably doesn't, mind, but we're still not at Berserker Guarantee
