I Was The Fury posted:Bitcoin will never drop below the floor of 11k but if it does then it obviously will be a sale that will never drop below 10k but if that happens (not a chance) then it will forever remain above 9k but if for some unfathomable reason it drops below that then the absolute floor is 7.5k and it can not drop any further but if it does then it definitely won't go below 5.5k and even if it goes below that it most certainly won't drop below 5k I promise. Last time it was about profitability of GPU/CPU miners of altcoins. And the time before that it was about [another bulletproof crypto reasoning exercise].

I looked into this a long time ago. They want you to help them build a banana plantation. As someone who is not a banana farmer their rather detailed farm plan passed the smell test, so it's basically banana futures but with ethereum.

I would blow Dane Cook posted:Price is certainly important, but I look at it like this... if Bitcoin were a human female, price is her level of physical attractiveness... she's still developing and right now she's learning about the world, developing intellectual and social skills, figuring out her creative talents... some of us can already see how beautiful and smart she is, but that's because we've taken an active interest in getting to know her. As she get's older, more people are going to notice she's attractive and start showing more interest in her, but for now, she's not on their radar. For those watching her grow up, we already know she's going to be a heart breaker, and thankfully there are tons of bright minds making sure she'll have the brains to match. You ever heard the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig"?

i love how bitcoiners coined "fud" because subscribing to insular language totally doesnt identify you as someone who brainwashes themselves in an echo chamber. also lol at them being raging mad at other people for cashing out before you which lowers ceiling they can cash out at the concept of other people trying to make money doing the same thing youre doing: "bitcgh! fuckj you gently caress you! fuuuudd! everyone was supposed to hold until at least after i sold. in the fantasy i have about my fake internet money"

As far as I'm concerned I won the argument. There are no public markets online selling that sick poo poo for Bitcoin. If you know of somewhere that does sell it for Bitcoin you're probably a pedo. You deserve to die.

The sort of retort I'd expect from a virginal no-hoper who spends his life volunteering for a trivial subreddit called "Buttcoin" in order to attain some modicum of authority to validate his hopeless existence, but, failing miserably even in this role to be taken seriously, must instead virtue signal to maintain the diaphanous facade of superiority that keeps suicide by auto-erotic asphyxiation at bay. As moderator of a geeky joke subreddit, whose self-styled duties include insulting others -- and doing so without wit or elegance -- you lose by default, you jaw-dislocatingly braindead cuntfaced body-pillow-loving cockjockey.

I don't know what caused you to bring up your shameful meltdown out of the blue like this but thanks for letting us relive the hilarity I guess lol the mere notion of bitcoin being used for child pornography got you so mad that you wound up posting a banme over it, like I know you were probably way too upset to read or even comprehend what people were telling you at the time but that's not the same as "winning" bitcoin has been a favorite of kiddy diddlers for years, for the same reasons that drug dealers and hitmen and illegal weapon merchants have been using bitcoin for years (largely because bitcoiners falsely claimed that bitcoin is anonymous when it's only pseudonymous); the thread refusing to give you directions to a bitcoin market that sells kiddy porn is completely immaterial, and it's clear that very basic cognitive failures like the one that you've exhibited here are what led to you being such a huge cryptocurrency advocate

Bitcoin is a nice proof of concept, but was never meant to be use as an actual currency. There is way too many problem with it, like the fee per transaction (what used to be an argument vs payment processor) is almost equal to the transaction if you are not processing thousand of dollar transaction, which mean it is useless to use in a small transaction(a transaction like doing groceries) vs using something like visa or even amex in this case. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, what is going on right now is the whole network is not energy efficient in the slightest. Some people estimate that the network as a whole take about 70 tW/h (wtf). I live in Quebec where electricity is pretty cheap and we have a surplus of it sometimes there is a lot of people asking to open mining operation. But these kind of operation are not cheap to power. The consumption one of such project is around 100 megawatt per hours... That is a gently caress ton. That means give them what they need the power company is going to have to build a sub station . We are talking here of a few millions dollars of infrastructures to power such endeavor. Even if they pay for it the reason we have this kind of power grid here is because our winter can be pretty cold. What will happen during a cold snap? Depending of the efficiency of the cooling system they might not consume has much power but you also cannot just use outside air to cool a server farm. Winter air is still too humid to just being let loose and it will create condensation that might damage the equipment. In the end I think this might be the failing of bitcoin, it will not be the inside market pressure that will kill bitcoin. It will be good old hardware limitation because the network hunger for power and it will need more and more of it. A lot of people forget that computer produce heat and a lot of computer or data processor will produce a lot of heat. Especially bitcoin because it tax all the device to the maximum of it's capacity to solve an hash. I always though that bitcoin was just an experiment and should have never been more then that. I am not saying that crypto currency has no future at all, just that Bitcoin was never meant to be what it is today and it is unsustainable in these conditions. I am using these as a reference: https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/hydro-quebec-special-rates-bitcoin-miners-1.4537639

To ask the question AARO should have asked - have there been any police busts where they shut down sites that openly sold child porn? All of the shutdowns I know about were either marketplaces that were focused on drugs and did not allow child porn (Silk Road, Agora, Evolution etc), or sites where pedophiles swapped porn for free.
