Call me "pixeltits"

Met a dude in a Kvelertak shirt yesterday who described them as "Andrew WK meets black metal".

I can dig it.

Kvelertak are extremely bad, or maybe I should say in the spirit of positivity: I dislike them a lot. There's a special place in hell for people who somehow manage to find combinations of metal and punk that just loving suck

Kvelertak are just lovely Turbonegro, and Turbonegro don't exactly make themselves scarce. Plus they're also kind of lovely, so there's 0 reasons for Kvelertak to exist

On the subject of unusual choices for metal covers, Behemoth covering Hello Spaceboy is another excellent one, if only for the sheer bizarre joy of hearing Nergal shrieking "HELLO loving SPACEBOY".

Last page but I've seen Set and Setting and Weltesser before, they're both pretty solid if you're into that end of things. I am a sludge/doom/post-metal fan who lives in St Pete though, so take that with a grain of salt :v:

Best Weltesser memory is them knocking poo poo off the walls at a record store gig with noise, good times.

Trip report so far:

Wage Slave is a 2 piece drummer/vocalist and bassist that owned

Gaul is not good

AK//47 had visa problems and could not get into the US

Weltesser was good, minus the vocals

Violent Opposition was awesome, bought a bunch of merch
They opened each song with phrases such as "CLOSE ALL PRIVATE PRISONS", "ALL WARS ARE FOR PROFIT", and "gently caress THE KOCH BROTHERS"

Body Void was incredibly loud but also very uninteresting

I'm in my 40s and Pantera came along at such a pivotal time for my development as a metalhead that it's hard to gauge just how much influence Vinnie Paul's drumming had on my metal tastes overall, but I feel pretty safe saying that the answer is something like "A LOT", so RIP Vinnie and please have died suffocating between some stripper's tits or something similarly up your alley
