Oh hey this thread exists! Sad not to see other MN comrades though. I'm in the TCDSA chapter, I'm not remotely a regular meeting attendee due to Depression but I keep trying goddamnit, this is important. I've been following the news tonight with something approaching unhinged glee, this was so badly needed right now.

Went to the monthly meeting and planning for the ICE protest on Saturday, had the distinct pleasure of bringing news of Ocasio's win to the meeting. Feels like momentum and a hell of a way to turn around an otherwise bad day.

Is the east bay DSA still a clusterfuck? I want to join a chapter, but last I heard the EBDSA wasn't doing so hot. (also, NYC DSA upset is extremely good.)

so to sum up the past week DSA has: successfully shut down multiple ICE offices in cities across the nation successfully ended a private detention center contract in one of the most conservative counties in Texas successfully won a run-off against one of the most influential dems in NYC, effectively securing a GAT DERN COMMIE a seat in congress things are lookin' pretty fuckin' good. pretty fuckin' good indeed.
