That’s ridiculous. By that metric, pressing the A button and then holding it down is one A press plus one negative A press equalling zero A presses. Nonsense.

theres something really satisfying about seeing this guys more recent videos where he's finding more A press efficient ways to grab specific stars, seeing all the tricks he's explained in excruciating detail in past vids (item cloning, PU speed etc.) all combined seamlessly. very powerful

Wait.... Eureka! Letsa go!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbNoy8OSdIMquote:Quick release is not to be confused with instant release, which is a trick to grab an object and then release it after 0 frames by either bonking or receiving big fall damage. In contrast, quick release is a trick to grab an object and then release it after 1 frame by being pushed off of a ledge. Thus, instant release doesn't update the HOLP, whereas quick release updates the HOLP for one frame (hence, it releases the object quickly, but not instantly). Instant release is useful for dropping objects at the HOLP, whereas quick release is useful for saving some frames. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1UFA7m9B8w
