who the gently caress brings their own bologna sandwich to pub trivia anyway? I guarantee the staff at that place despises the confessor because he probably nurses a single drink and even if he tips well it's still not going to be enough money to justify the seat his dumb rear end is taking up for an hour and change. gently caress you, Trivia Cheating Goon, no one likes you.

The subtext of Trivia Goon fesh is plain as day. It’s effortless to imagine all the normal people watching the autistic guy in the corner cheating and just rolling their eyes because what else does he have and besides he’s cheating in the goofiest possible way.

Also, priding yourself on being super smart for winning at pub trivia with STEM questions is pretty sad. Like, if you like science and math, that's fine, those are both useful skills and potentially really interesting. But saying that science and math are obscure for 'normal people' is a complete loving joke, and then losing your poo poo because you didn't have the knowledge someone else did is really sad. Like I'm half-certain that fess was a joke anyway, but in case it wasn't? Cut it out, buddy. It's not good to prop up your entire self-worth on fitting your weird ideal of what a smart person is, and it's not good to use that to look down on other people. Cheating doesn't make you smart, because the only person you're proving something to is yourself, and all you've proved is that you absolutely bombed that night's trivia. And guess what, not knowing something is fine. You would have been fine if you'd just quietly lost, but you cheated instead and that makes it pathetic. Sincerely, Asperger's isn't a loving excuse

Re: snitch/tattle tail (tale?) chat. My job involves operating machinery, which can at times be dangerous. Operator eats an edible marijuana product at lunch obtained allegedly from a dispensary near a job site. Helper sees it and calls him out. Telling boss = Ratty Mc Snitcherson or legit? I done smoked mad treez in my day, but never had any weed brownies, or cookies or whatever. How does that poo poo affect you compared to smoking a joint or whatever?

i know a carpenter or two and one story they told me was a guy who got high, dropped a screwdriver into some big gently caress off machine, and w/o thinking yanked it out (because he was high) yanking it out unjammed said machine and sliced off two of his fingers. they were glad he only hurt himself, but in general they would have absolutely narced if you got high or drunk at work because they were doing poo poo like putting up scaffolds around huge vats of loving acid in steel mills (it's part of the steel process dont ask em why)( and if you stumble or bump something you send a dude into lava on one side and loving acid in the other

Word. Like I was high as gently caress when I was flipping burgers at Denny's even though yeah, I could have gotten burned on the grill, or in a deep fryer or whatever. But I'm all old and poo poo now, with a "real" job. I tell all the new guys that "this machine will kill ya, and won't feel bad about it". I don't particularly like the guy myself, but don't want it to be all "gently caress you, I'm gonna tell the boss", especially since I wasn't actually there. That being said, he could have put either his or his helper's life in danger. Its not a fork lift he's running, and everyone at work already knows him as being ahorrible loving driver, and he's put one of our machines over on its side already, presumably while not baked, but who the gently caress knows. gently caress, I wish my boss would fire him.

I sliced off a nice slice of my palm, along the thumb end, slicing ham whilst working in a restaurant. I was drunk. Dangerous things and any kind of substance that makes you less smart/aware/coordinated is an accident that is going to happen at some point. It’s literally a dice roll every time.

Just hope that security escorts them off the property before the boss can contradict your story. also my bet on sandwich guy is he's one of those people who goes to a bar and orders a glass of milk. He probably drinks it out of a straw too.

UglyCrackBaby posted:You actually saw someone drinking milk at a bar before? If a sports bar counts, whenever I went with my old roommate to watch away football games he would order a milk or two to start and then switch to beer after we were done with the wings or whatever. The wings weren't particularly spicy so that's no excuse, and plus he just really likes milk in general and would get it when we went to restaurants almost all the time. I guess there's nothing particularly wrong with it, it just tended to make the waitress do a doubletake after writing down beer orders and then hearing "I'll have some milk please".

No. I don't know where I got it from but I have a very specific type of person pictured in my mind when I think about an adult who goes out to eat/drink and orders a milk that I don't apply to people who order other non-alcoholic drinks. I guess I'm just prejudiced against milk in general. It's dumb and illogical but I've spoken against milk drinkers for so long it's not like I can just stop now.
