There were all kinds of social media in the 80s and 90s that kids used, just not real-time or on-line. (Of course there were both on-line and real-time on-line social media that kids used back then as well but not most kids.)

Signs that you are a "millennial"? Being one, but trying to desperately to create a separate generation to prove your better than other millennials.

Like there's "millennials have never seen water beds / cassette tapes / other stuff was standard in the early 90's" articles, and then articles talking about millennials in their 40s living at home. Literally no one can agree on what it means so it's now just a catch-all for anyone who isn't a boomer.

A GLISTENING HODOR posted:I've legit seen 1975-2015 from real news sources. The Pew research group defines Millennials as the people who came of age around the turn of the millennium. They specify the demographic as people born from 1981 to 1996. So, people who are 22 to 37 years old this year. if you're older than 37 you are a gen-xer. Sorry. if you're currently in college or younger, you are not a millennial, but a member of the as-yet unnamed generation that idolizes YouTube streamers and eats Tide Pods. but yes the pop culture definition is basically anybody younger than me who does a thing I don't like Sagebrush has a new favorite as of 19:09 on Jul 3, 2018 |
