A well structured album is one of my favourite things, but in the era of streaming it's becoming less and less common, unfortunately.

What I don’t like about scorpion is just how phoned in drake sounds. Like he’s half asleep the whole time and barely deviating from one flow. The second half a bit better. Idk I’m a big drake fan but I don’t think it was even as good as views or more life, both of which I liked but thought could’ve been better. I finally listened to the album and it's not bad but I'm not compelled to listen to it again. Popular music sounds derivative to folks who are always listening to new music for a drat reason: a pop artist is supposed to poach all the best trends and styles from the last year or two and present a consumer friendly version to the masses. They aren't ripping anyone off because most of the time they are hiring the people who created the sounds they are aping. That's popular culture and how often do hip hop heads admit to listening to pop music unless it's with their girl or in the club? The reason they are heads is because they like finding new music and rebel against dominant sounds. That's the nature of culture. The masses don't have the context of the Pusha T disses nor care. Championing the new Drake in this thread is like bragging about the latest Apple computer in a general computer thread. You gotta expect blow back.
