I think there was some kind of Revival based on 80s nostalgia and if I had to guess I would assume that there was at least one famous YouTuber who is popular with children and used the Rubik Cube because otherwise I can't imagine why my brother would even know what one was?

What was the name of that flat puzzle with the rings on both sides. I think it was distributed by Matchbox? e: Oh it was Rubik's Magic. Googling "flat puzzle" got it first hit.
