He just thought that it was funny and played it up for a year or two before realising that actually it was a terrible idea. You can hear the big turning point if you can stand to listen to Coolgames Inc, there's an episode where they're talking about a game where you're a tiny dentist inside someone's mouth cleaning their teeth and he pretends to orgasm. The next week he mentions that apparently some people thought that was real and this has clearly gone too far.

My favorite moment for that is in PoolGames Inc 2 where someone suggests a game about finding the worst way to eat any given food. It takes a second for it to come to Simone, but Griffin immediately gets about as depressed as I've ever heard him.

Yeah, it was a cycle of "I found this weird thing on the Internet. I'll play in the space a little for funny. Oh wait, I'm famous on the Internet, where social boundaries between fans and creators don't exist."

There's a live episode of the vore podcast Big Gulp in the MaxFun donors feed around the 2015 area. I think once you charge people to access your vore podcast you are basically cursed to be Vore Boy forevermore.

D20s are supposed to have sequential numbers printed in opposite sides of the die (ie 19 should be on the opposite side of 20, not next to it) to help randomize the roll. The die on the cover is supposed to be used to count your HP in magic the gathering (but people tend to use them interchangeably anyway)

I don't want to call horseshit without asking first. 'randomizing' dice rolls by rearranging numbers on an 'all sides equal' die does not sound scientifically sound.

if the numbers are printed in a sequential spiral like on a Spindown it's actually really easy to influence the rolls because all the numbers from 11-20 are on the same hemisphere. Also, MTG Spindowns aren't fairly-weighted dice to begin with, because that costs money in manufacturing and that would be a waste. Also 19 isn't opposite 20 on a legit d20; rather, just like on a d6, opposite sides on a d(X) add up to d(X+1). So 19 is opposite 2, 15 opposite 6, and 20 opposite 1.

Judge Schnoopy posted:Is there some scientific article to back this up? I don't want to call horseshit without asking first. Think about it this way: Faces with double-digit numbers have more surface area carved out, and will therefore be lighter and land upwards more often. Loading them all to one side makes it more likely that you'll get higher rolls. Casinos use dice with the holes filled in for this exact reason. I mean, most dice aren't tested if they're balanced regardless, but pet peeves are gonna be pet peeves.

Never underestimate the amount of minutiae RPG nerds will go into to get ~truely random~ dice rolls
|
# ? Jul 11, 2018 14:34 |
|
Especially since if you're not playing with a d6, it's unlikely that it's actually been tested much. When nerds say "this dice is bad" or "this dice is good", unless it's some sort of fancy rear end dice that cost like $10 just so that it can guarantee randomness, there's a chance that they may be right. I don't give a poo poo. We're playing orcs and wizards around a table, who cares if this dice likes to make me gently caress up.

The episode shows they don't know how toilets work. Travis suggested putting a 2L in the water tank which just reduces the amount of water then toilet uses, not the level of water in the bowl. The water level is dictated by the trap in toilet bowl.

Plumbing comes up very little in set building. And toilets tend to not have any wood, so carpentry is not a cogent skill. Just because you can build a set doesn't automatically make you Tim The Tool Man Taylor.

If you see Daniel Day Lewis taking a poo poo in a movie, he is 100% taking a poo poo into the toilet. Sometimes the cast and crew need to wait for him to finish and wipe before they can continue filming the next scene. Every contract he signs makes them aware of this so that they can prepare adequate plumbing.

The boys are pretty quick to call each other out when they think the other didn't land a goof or something, because that can make for even better comedy. Griffin also seemed to be kind of playing up that sort of character he does sometimes where it's just really dry/deadpan delivery as he slowly takes the subject into weirder territory. This is in contrast to other more spontaneous characters like "angry Griffin" or "horny Griffin", which I guess usually require him to be more passionate about the subject to get that kind of energy. Anyway Marilu Henner ruled, I'm not always a huge fan of the guestsperts but she killed it and played off the brothers really well.
