Casting has been announced for Y: The Last Man. I don’t recognize most of them but they’re good visual matches at least.

To steal a comment from the A.V. Club article, I won’t believe that the series is actually airing until I watch the second or third episode.

Well I just finished Penny Dreadful and man that ending sure is a huge loving downer, goddamn I kept waiting for Vanessa to come back to life or be a ghost or something because fuckkkkkkk what's the point of becoming the Wolfman if you just straight up shoot her???

Need to find something fun and uplifting to watch now. Was thinking Brooklyn 99 but don't really want to sign up for Hulu...

If you have Sprint, its free. But I would pay for it even I didn't get it through them. It seems like there is a lot of overlap with Amazon Prime when it comes to movies though.

Your mother!

The way it's stratified is that Hulu is the go-to for television shows (although a frustrating number are getting gated behind the Live option), the movie selection is pretty evenly split between Netflix, Hulu and Prime, Prime occasionally gets better movies but they disappear after like two weeks, and Netflix continues to become a harder and harder sell if you aren't a fan of the originals.

bull3964

DO YOU HEAR THAT? THAT'S THE SOUND OF ME PATTING MYSELF ON THE BACK.

Eh, I wouldn't call it getting gated behind the live option as that's not really a Hulu strategy.

Hulu's first run next day airing rights were always spotty, really only covering Fox, NBC, and ABC broadcast. Anything on cable seemed like it was very sparse or heavily delayed.

The only thing that Live TV did was bring the normal network's OnDemand content to Hulu. But, it still has to play by cable subscriber rules and that content was never there to begin with and wasn't going to be.

So, it's not so much thing are retreating behind Live TV, it's just that the Live TV agreements that Hulu has adds an additional library source. However, they are only allowed to make it available to people who are subscribed to the live package.

Hulu's deep library, (1 yr+ since release) is as rich as ever and doesn't require Live TV sub.

We may disagree on Drag Race but we can forever agree on sexy women being the sole reason we stick with bad shows way too long.

The Outpost follows Talon (Jessica Green), the lone survivor of a race called 'Blackbloods.' Years after her entire village is destroyed by a gang of brutal mercenaries, Talon travels to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world, as she tracks the killers of her family. On her journey to this outpost, Talon discovers she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must learn to control in order to save herself, and defend the world against a fanatical religious dictator.

I think I'm like 4-5 episodes behind now. I should catch up seeing how I preferred what I saw of this season to the "look what a win for them!!!!! listen to that music!!!!! what a great win that was for the RAPE SLAVES" first, but reactions to the finale have me worried.

tbf to Moss she's a lifer like Beck or Giovanni Ribisi, girl was raised in the church and had little to no choice 'til it was too late.

Still trash but a lesser trash than say a Tom Cruise.

e: ^^ i've had a good laugh over the last two episodes for a couple weeks no since most of it v accurately leaked. i'm several episodes behind but going to catch up soon, I think. Probably after I run through Big Little Lies.

Even if it's trash compared to S1 I imagine it's still quite good, and I love everyone in the cast tho I'm (not actually a spoiler)pretty tired of Moss staring into the camera and have always found her a liiiiittle overrated in anything not Mad Men anyway, though she is still very good in this show don't hurt me!!!!. Lookin' forward to it but I'm not nearly as excited as I was before season 2 started.

Like I binged through all of S1 in the week before 2 started and a couple episodes in all my momentum ground to a halt. Then all the reactions in the thread during the season made me realize I wanted to just wait til I could binge it.

The show rules because it did a less rapey adaptation of the first novel, and then instead of going into the "VERSUS COMMUNISM" plot it becomes Xena-esque schlock that pisses off the original author forever and ever.

I'm also gonna end up rewatching it because I can't escape the loving curse

If you're looking for more Swords and Sorcery with hot chicks make sure to check out The Shannara Chronicles. It's not very good at all but it's pretty campy and kind of fun. Honestly the worst part was the abundance of "young people music" being played entirely too loud.
