If you need a new webcomic to read and discuss, and would like to enjoy it, I humbly suggest Blasphemous Saga Fantasy, the story the story of Seb Fuller, a 12-year-old squire who ends up being forced into the role of world-saving hero when his mentor, Master Knight breaks a few ribs. Seb is joined by his new friend Lina Motscoud, a talented sorceress-in-training, and The Slime King, a gelatinous monster he grew up with. What's really shameful about following SFP is that it's so boring. It's one thing to stick with a real rolling trainwreck like Dominic Deegan, or a snoozefest that updates every weekday like QC, but SFP is just such an irregular nothing vomit. You really have to put in a bunch of work to get your hate up or care enough to be disappointed or find anything to make fun of other than this clervboy and his floppy noodle. At that rate, you might as well just go read something good.

I finally looked up what was going on after they'd been taken off of Hiveworks and it was...ugly and there was a lot of evidence for the ugliness. Even if that's a rumor, supposedly the porn they openly claim credit for is super skeevy. (I'm really not up for a trip report on that one.)

did any of you go read alethia, seriously it's good. it's by the same person who did 14 nights, about the dude who's scared of sex and his insane russian boyfriend, and it's even more beautifully illustrated and esoteric. and it has an all-female cast! (ok they're robots, but they're girl robots) and amazing alien architecture and gorgeous lighting and bizarre unearthly cultures presented matter-of-factly and i love it

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the factory in chapter 5. It could have just been broken, but... with all the study material around explaining the bullshit answers it feels more like the purpose of the factory was to push the robots to disobey rather than to really teach them anything about logic. Or maybe I'm unduly influenced by playing The Talos Principle recently. Although it gets to me that the first time Jun answers question four, she gives the wrong answer and is told she's wrong, when it's supposed to be judging incorrectly.

i'm enjoying alchemilla too, it's very gentle but that's not necessarily a bad thing and the art is like sweet summer fruit for my eyeballs. also the creator is a finn so that adds an extra layer of excitement, knowing that with every turn of the page i may see something unexpectedly and wondrously racist e: i haven't yet, but i live in hope avshalemon fucked around with this message at 01:12 on Jul 14, 2018 |

It seems like she's stabled out in life however and doing well enough for now. But yeah, I hope TMK comes back eventually too but at this point there's no ETA on it.

Every chapter has it's own message, and the work as a whole feels like it's trying to say something as well, but the hollistic message feels incomplete. Which is understandable, given that it's an on going work that feels like it's just starting, so judging it on a incomplete message that it hasn't finished saying seems unfair. I find it interesting that the individual chapters complete as soon as the lesson completes, not when the "story" completes. Which is an odd thing to say, considering that the narrative follows a traveler who's travels are more or less contiguous. The thing is everywhere she goes she makes or inspires a change and immediatly leaves, but everywhere she's gone she's left the society at an obvious crossroads. The after is easily a tale in itself, but the lesson of the chapter has been shown, so the focus moves on.

According to a ridiculously large thread at stalker-central kiwifarms, at least two of the main people behind Floraverse (eevee, who is generally the site guy and the artist's boyfriend, and Marl, the artist's husband (poly relationship)), are pedos who attempted to/did groom their underaged fans through IRC and discord, and Marl is a dogfucker who also grooms underage people for that. There's a bunch of logs and screenshots, whatever those are worth, of them grooming, defending bestiality and child porn. The creators maintain innocence and claim that Kiwifarms is basically just an organized harassment forum, which is true, but it looks like some accusations are coming from outside those forums, so... Hard evidence is alleged to exist, but nothing seems to have come forward publicly. The accusations are bad enough (and almost comically evil) that at least those two could be imprisoned, and considering the campaign against them, I'd be surprised as hell if the police aren't involved. The artist has seemingly been silent since April, and eevee still posts on twitter and his own Patreon.
