Dudek, Reina going all the way back to Grobbelar, Liverpool keepers were able to pull off outstanding saves, yet were capable of clangers. The last purely solid keeper I recall was Clemence.

Talked to my mate Memo at his birthday party today. He's suggesting that Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa might be picked up by Liverpool (after he opted not to sign with Napoli) but that the transfer is contingent upon Liverpool offloading one of their internationals (he didn't say who) as well as favorable terms to Ochoa after the 2014 transfer debacle.

Shaq wasn't my first pick but I don't think he's a bad signing. Gives us something different and his direct style fits in with the way we play. I still think we'll buy a keeper. We've kept our cards pretty close to our chest this time around and all the comments from Klopp re Karius seem to be supportive- which is exactly what I'd expect and want regardless of if he's number one or not next season. Word is we'll be back for Fekir but I must be one of the only people that's not so excited about that. He's got ability, no doubt, but I don't see how he fits into our team without upsetting the way we play.
