I took a fema classes as part of my minor. people usually come together when their is big disaster with some shitheads on the side taking advantage, that being said, its also because they know the government or someone big will come and help, in case of most zombie/post apocalyptic stuff, the government is loving gone or weakened to hell and back. there is good zombie stuff its just rare in my opinion. It make a Puerto Rico apocalypse likely. None of the apocalypse stories where society collapses and you get to wander a wasteland will happen. mgsv undermined the entire narrative of the series. (even though the gameplay is quite good). bioshock could only exist as a game (for the same reason as mgs2) but i wouldn't say it pushed the medium anywhere. miyazaki's the only one using the medium properly.
