Microsoft and Sony are definitely tracking and selling info to advertisers. Nintendo probably isn’t, but that has less to do with respect for privacy and more to do with them still figuring out basic online infrastructure.

I'm pretty sure the 3DS had an opt-out data collection system of some kind that popped up the first time I turned on the system.

seems like the problem is that its tracking stuff you do outside of gaming too. no real chance of that happening with a nintendo console since what else are you using it for .. i suppose sony + xbox owners might watch netflix and use spotify but nobody is using them to browse ebay or google with either
