Like I can't even write it off as just america becoming accustomed to the new normal because other ones (Pulse, basically anything involving highschool kids) get brought up pretty often, yet not this one it stayed in the news longer than that, but it doesn't really feed into any pre-existing media narratives/existing spate of shootings (since they seem to pop up in clusters as people get "inspired") except MILITARY ASSAULT WEAPONS BAD, which was probably diluted a bit due to the whole bump stock thing- it was extremely obvious to everyone substantive legislation wouldn't be forthcoming, but bump stocks were a new (meaningless) thing that could potentially "address" the massacre dude didn't fit a usual profile, his motivations/political leanings are obscure/unknown, the ones that can be inferred are not subjects the news media is going to speculate at length on- i.e. he was probably a rich rear end in a top hat who decided to take as many people with him as possible (which ties this back to the actual thread subject)

Had he been brown, young, and from a country with "stan" in the name, Trump would have been all over that poo poo. Law also enforcement kinda dropped the ball here so they don't want to expose themselves. Vegas is hosts the biggest gun show in the world and they are not about to loose any of that sweet NRA cash. Some think that's one of the reasons he was able to assemble such a large arsenal because I guess its normal to see people walking around casinos with gun cases. The hotel is not seeking any monetary action from the victims, they just want the blame taken off the corporation because I'm sure there are a ton of class action/civil suites coming their way.
