As cool as Godzilla looks, what, uh, is the premise of the movie? As far as I can tell it's like, semi-apocalyptic, and somehow these megamonsters can stop that from happening somehow?

That's my guess based on the trailers and Ghidorah will probably serve as more an angel of death than the MUTO twins did

"BIG MONSTERS FIGHT!" if you want more detail uhhh Big dragon gets out of ice thanks to global warming, destroys the earth, humans free the other monsters to fight it. That's my guess anyway.

It looks like it might be enjoyable, but it also looks like they're completely wrecking the place in this one. Is the Godzilla vs Kong one supposed to be a sequel to this? Won't be much of a world left for them to fight over from the looks of things.

Oh dang. That actually looks good. And it actually looks good, considering it's a Matt Groening adjacent show. I hope that it's as good as I think it is and stays that good for 6-10 season and then they quit (and never return).

Combined with the singing this feels like just such a classic animation bit, like Disney fron the 50s-60s. Even if the movie ends up being poo poo, I'll look back on this trailer with joy.

According to Monarch Sciences King Ghidorah is 521 feet tall. Why exactly would a modern multinational shadow org use an ancient and redundant measuring system I am not so sure but, that is 159 meters.

I might be stockolmed by the 10-year wait but the eyes are growing on me (har har.) Still wish it was Cameron directly. Opening day for me, sincerely hope it's not garbo. Would dearly love Alita to turn into a breakaway hit and get us video games and sequels and stuff, but for that it probably needs to clear the first movie-isn't-poo poo hurdle. Pretty likely that no one sees it and it tanks hard since the concept is kind of a hard sell.  Selling it as a post-apoc teen drama like Maze Runner or Divergent or whatever is probably the best bet, but it doesn't have the built-in audience from hit source material so... I dunno.

Alita trailer was good. Still sour that Cameron isn't directing, but RR doing his best Cameron imitation has won me over. Alita's eyes don't bother me anymore either. I'm there day 1.
