I can’t consistently make the game crash by being in this one specific planet and making a 500 odd long meter voyage to a copper deposit which sucks because I need copper

Say I own a freighter and a starship and I've found a crashed starship. Is there a way to repair the crashed ship and send it back to the freighter? I want to keep my old ship as well. I tried flying to the freighter and summoning the other ship but it just says "can't land here".

Like, yeah, they've been in for months and you didn't know. Not only that but all of them crashed the same exact way across every planet.

Man, consuming all the game has to offer after each major patch has completely hosed my perception of how big this update is to everyone who is playing it for the first time since launch. :(

Not only all of that, but the main story points you right at a crashed frigate if you play through it long enough, so he is especially wroooong.

Fun bug: my freighter The Agoshobam had a Korvax crew. When we jumped to another system the crew became all Gek because it’s a Gek system.

Blame it on a hyperspace anomaly?

Gotta say this update owns hard so far. I just got my Freighter going and I feel like a space man. My frigate was out on a mission and radioed back to report critical damage, so I pulled them back and then flew out to repair it. I can see that getting old if they get damaged a lot but drat it was cool.

Love being able to call the freighter in over planets of interest. Right now it’s orbiting this Flourishing Planet I found. Rare resources, plentiful flora and fauna, and few Sentinels. Trying to convince myself to stick around and set up a base/gather resources but I have serious commitment issues.

Definitely. My first planet was a red hellscape with 270 degree weather and trees that looked like giant tennis rackets with red tentacles for the netting. On reload, a toxic hellscape of green and hosed up fauna.

The second planet was like an injection of heroin. Lush paradise with a system of lakes, oceans, and continents (!!!). Like from 'meh' to 'best game of the gen'. I think every starting planet is a shithole on purpose to get you moving along with some adversity and a soft time-limit. I'm glad this is finally out of early-access. They were working for their very careers and rep in the industry and it shows.

I can't promise it will live up to the hype, but I tried my best.
I just started a new save on this, haven't played since launch. It's feeling pretty good so far but I am six hours into my save and just got AtlasPass v1. For the love of God though, when and how can I expect to upgrade my Exosuit inventory? Am I missing something on a space station?

Grab this early on if you can. Will set you back around 450 nanites, but should make getting started a hell of a lot easier. One rare scan gets you around 150k units, and this is without having connected the module to the scanner itself.

I assume this comes from the multi-tool blueprint vendors on stations?

Yep, right beside the character customization pad you can buy an exosuit slot once per station

To clarify on this don't talk to the guy, go to the exosuit pod thing behind him even if you can't see the exosuit hanging in it.

And you can do this at each space station you come across so join random MP games if you want to do it quickly. Just join, fly to station, buy it and save then leave. Repeat.

So supposedly fleets of freighters or did they misspeak and mean fleets of frigates that you use for your missions?

You can do those and it just cost the materials instead of credits like the one in the space station. You still just get a new slot.

Also for anyone who doesn't already know, when you are doing these you can also choose to do the Tech & Extra Storage slots. Just click on their little bubbles on the suit to switch to that type.

I got stuck last night on the part where the tutorial is telling me to scan for underground technology and dig it up.

The only underground thing I find are artifacts I can sell. Is underground technology super rare or something?

You get one extra space for your suit. IMO not worth it until suit upgrades start costing millions of units.

And the extra storage slots have a higher capacity. IIRC it's 2 times a normal slot, so in general it's better to get that kind of upgrade

Would I be able to dupe this weird green plant cutting that I found in some ruins (worth a ton), or does it have to be an element? What are good things to dupe? I don’t MIND the changes to crafting but having super restricted inventory space is cramping me big time, I intend to max out inventory slots by joining random multiplayer games after I’ve built up some credits.

I haven't played in a year or so since the last major update. The new patch lost my old base so I have a bunch of missions I can't do as I have no idea how to get back. I did manage to rescue a freighter and it was gifted to me, so that's nice I guess. Basically I'm trying to decide if I should just continue on, or if I should start a new character.

I'd start a new character, personally. That is to say, that is what I did, certainly. *So* much is different. In some cases, *extremely* different. That said, I'd not really spent any serious time with the game since it came out.

The duping is exponential so if you have 1 warp cell, it takes about 15 minutes to end up with a hundred or so. And then 16 minutes for 200 and so on.

What is the best way to make some money in this? I'd like to get a better ship but even with an S-class analysis visor upgrade it still takes ages to get a million spacebucks and the only ships that interest me tend to be in the 15 million spacebuck range.

Also is there a better way to get S-class ships than "sit in station and wait until one you like the look of shows up and make an offer?"

Once you find a few relics and get a couple million getting exosuit slots is easy. Just keep joining random games and go to the stations you get dumped by.
