I am sure a lot of you heard about the murder of 18-year old Nia Wilson by a white supremacist in Oakland. I'm from Sacramento so it hits close to home here and I wanted to share a tribute that Common posted to his twitter feed. Sometimes Twitter is dumb but other times it’s awesome. For Father, I like his releases. His full albums, I’m a Piece of poo poo & Who’s Gonna Get hosed First?, are both worth checking out. I like the Papicodone EP and I’ve grabbed the other 2 cause I just want more Father. I’m currently really into Alleyoop Swish, OMG, Her Butt, and Unhealthy.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not, because I opted not to read this thread after The Scorpion dropped, but WNYC is producing a podcast about Prodigy and how sickle cell affected his life and career called The Realness. I've only listened to the first episode, but it's really interesting. I doubt they will, his life ended while they weren't on the greatest of terms. I only saw Hav once talk about Prodigy and that was a fresh couple days post death...otherwise he's probably going to keep everything close to the vest and keep his feelings to himself like a true NY dude would do.
