There are tutorials online on how to track police's Motorola portable radios with sub $250 SDRs including direction of arrival.

Something interesting I saw while looking up burials at sea. Some poor TBM Avenger gunner got mulched by flak, and when the TBM got back to the carrier his body was too gibbed to get out of the gunners seat.
